Overview

Tabify provides comprehensive tools to help you organize and control your browsing experience. The interface gives you full visibility and control over your browsing environment through several key components:

  • Sessions: Reflects the current state of your browser, potentially including remote devices
  • Workspaces: Defined as collections of windows, helping you organize your browsing
  • Windows: Represent collections of tabs within a workspace
  • Blocklists: Lists of websites that you choose to block for focused browsing
  • Settings: Here you can adjust snapshot configurations and manage other settings


Interfaces

Tabify provides four specialized interface tools that work together to give you complete control over your browser sessions:

  • Settings: This is the main control center where you can comprehensively manage workspaces, windows, and configure all system preferences
  • Quick Access Popup: Provides a convenient overview of all open windows, allowing for effortless navigation between different browsing contexts
  • Sidepanel Navigator: Offers a vertical view of your current window and enables instant access to commonly used session commands
  • Command Palette: Delivers keyboard-driven access to the full range of browser management functions, such as opening specific windows or creating session snapshots

Settings

The settings page is your control panel for managing sessions, workspaces, blocklists, and other configurations.

Popup

Click the Tabify icon in the extension section to access the popup, which shows the total number of tabs across all windows. Red indicates untracked windows, while blue signifies that all windows are tracked.

From the popup, you can navigate to the settings of each window, and access functions to manage windows and tabs.

Sidepanel

The sidepanel provides a vertical overview of your current window's tabs, including functionalities similar to those in the Popup, like tab suspension and historical navigation.

Command Palette

Use the command palette for a quick command interface to execute common actions like opening workspace windows, managing history, and creating snapshots.

Customize the command palette shortcut via chrome://extensions/shortcuts, by default its:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + O
  • Mac: Command + Shift + O
  • ChromeOS: Ctrl + Shift + O
  • Linux: Ctrl + Shift + O
